XRP Price Prediction 2026-2050: Will XRP Hit $10?

Long Term XRP Price Prediction, Risk Analysis, Ripple SEC Update and Latest Price Target

XRP price prediction 2026 to 2050

  • XRP price prediction remains bullish for this year because of huge inflows.
  • Our base case sees XRP near $1.60 for the rest of 2026.
  • A base case of $3.80 by 2030 would put XRP back at its old peak.
  • $10 only appears in our bullish case around 2035. $100 does not appear at all.

XRP is the fifth largest cryptocurrency, and one of the few with a real company and a working product behind it. This guide covers where XRP actually stands today, what changed after the SEC case ended, and what realistic price ranges look like out to 2050. Every number below is checked against live market data, and every long range figure is sanity checked against the market cap it would imply. Check the live price on our Live Crypto Price Tracker.

Why the supply number matters more than the price

XRP has about 62.9 billion tokens in circulation out of a 100 billion maximum. That is a much larger supply than most people picture, and it is the single most useful thing to understand before reading any XRP forecast.

Here is why. At $10 per token, XRP’s market cap would be roughly $630 billion, which is larger than Ethereum is worth today. At $100, it would sit above $6 trillion, which is more than the entire crypto market combined right now. Those are not impossible in the way a coin flip is impossible, but they require the whole financial system to reorganize around one token.

This is also why XRP’s 2018 record is harder to reclaim than it looks. In 2018, far fewer tokens were in circulation. Getting back to $3.84 today means supporting a market cap near $240 billion, not the roughly $150 billion that price implied back then. Same number on the screen, much bigger valuation behind it.

What changed for XRP since the SEC case

The SEC sued Ripple in December 2020, and the case shaped XRP’s price for years. Major US exchanges delisted the token, which cut off a large share of its liquidity.

A 2023 ruling found that XRP sold on public exchanges did not amount to a securities offering. Exchanges relisted. The litigation fully concluded in 2025. The practical effect is that XRP no longer trades under a regulatory cloud in its home market, which was its single biggest drag for half a decade.

That removes a headwind. It does not by itself create demand. Since the case ended, XRP has traded more on general crypto cycles than on payment volume, which is the tension running through every forecast below.

XRP price prediction, 2026 to 2050

These are scenario models built from XRP’s real current price, its supply, and the market cap each level would require. Long range crypto forecasts are guesswork by nature, so treat these as a way to think through outcomes, not numbers to plan around.

Year Bearish scenario Base case Bullish scenario

XRP price prediction 2026

Four months are left in 2026, so this is a short window. Our base case is $1.60, a modest move up from today’s $1.33. The bullish case of $2.40 would need a strong final quarter across crypto, since XRP has been tracking the wider market rather than moving on its own news. The bearish case of $0.90 would mean giving back the 2026 gains, which XRP has done before in similar conditions. Watch fourth quarter ETF flows and overall market direction more than any Ripple announcement.

XRP price prediction 2027

2027 is the first year with room for a real trend to form. A base case of $2.10 assumes steady growth without a dramatic catalyst. The bullish case of $3.60 would put XRP back at its all time high, which after two failed attempts at that level would be a meaningful technical event. The bearish case of $1.00 would reflect a crypto winter, the kind of stretch where large caps lose half their value and hold there.

XRP price prediction 2028

By 2028, the question shifts from regulation to usage. A base case of $2.60 assumes Ripple’s payment products keep growing at a steady, unspectacular rate. The bullish case of $4.50 would need XRP to clear its record and hold above it, which requires demand that does not disappear when the crypto cycle turns. The bearish case of $1.20 assumes payment adoption grows but never translates into token demand, a real risk given that most of Ripple’s business does not require anyone to hold XRP long term.

XRP price prediction 2029

A base case of $3.10 for 2029 assumes XRP is trading above its old high and holding. The bullish case of $5.50 would need something structural, such as a major bank or payment network settling meaningful volume through the XRP Ledger. The bearish case of $1.40 reflects the slow scenario, where XRP stays a large, liquid, well known token that mostly moves with Bitcoin.

XRP price prediction 2030

Our base case for 2030 is $3.80, roughly XRP’s old record, which implies a market cap near $240 billion. Getting there over four years is unremarkable growth for a top five crypto asset. The bullish case of $7.00 would need real world tokenization and cross border settlement to run through the XRP Ledger at scale, not just in pilots. The bearish case of $1.60 assumes the payments story stays a story. This is the year where the gap between the two outcomes becomes clear.

XRP price prediction 2035

This is the first horizon where $10 appears at all, in the bullish case of $12.00. That requires a market cap near $750 billion, so it assumes XRP has become genuine settlement infrastructure rather than a traded asset. A base case of $6.00 assumes steady growth roughly in line with the crypto market maturing. The bearish case of $2.20 assumes XRP is still around, still top twenty, and has not found the use case that justifies more.

XRP price prediction 2040

Fourteen years out, the honest framing is that almost nothing about the payments landscape is predictable. A bullish case of $18.00 assumes the XRP Ledger has become one of the standard rails for moving value across borders. A base case of $9.00 assumes solid, gradual adoption. A bearish case of $3.00 assumes XRP holds roughly its 2018 price in nominal terms, which after 22 years would be a poor outcome for holders but not a failure of the network.

XRP price prediction 2050

Twenty four years is beyond what any model can meaningfully forecast, so read this as scenario thinking. A bullish case of $30.00 implies a market cap near $3 trillion, roughly Bitcoin’s value today, and assumes XRP became core financial plumbing. A base case of $14.00 assumes it grew into a large, established asset without transforming global finance. A bearish case of $4.50 assumes it survived as a legacy token with a loyal base and modest use. Worth remembering that most assets that dominated any given decade were not the ones people expected at the start of it.

  • XRP is the native token of the XRP Ledger, an open source blockchain that settles transactions in three to five seconds.
  • Ripple, a US company, is the largest developer building on the ledger, but does not own or control it.
  • The ledger is built for payments and settlement rather than general purpose smart contracts.
  • Ripple holds a large share of XRP in escrow, releasing portions on a schedule. This is a real supply factor worth tracking.
  • XRP has been in the top ten by market cap for most of its existence, one of very few tokens that can say that.

What actually moves XRP’s price

  1. The crypto cycle. Be honest about this one. XRP’s biggest moves have come from Bitcoin led rallies, not from payment news. Anyone forecasting XRP is largely forecasting the crypto market.
  2. Payment volume that requires the token. This is the key distinction most XRP analysis skips. Ripple’s software business does not require anyone to hold XRP. Only the on demand liquidity product actually uses the token. Growth in that specific product matters far more to price than Ripple’s overall customer count.
  3. Escrow releases. Ripple releases XRP from escrow on a schedule. Most gets returned, but the releases are a steady supply overhang that a smaller token would not carry.
  4. Regulatory clarity elsewhere. The US question is settled. Rules in the EU, UK, and Asia still shape which institutions can touch XRP at all.
  5. Tokenization and stablecoins on the ledger. Real world assets and Ripple’s stablecoin work put activity on the XRP Ledger. More activity there means more demand for XRP to pay fees and provide liquidity.

Where to buy XRP

XRP is one of the most widely listed cryptocurrencies. The main exchanges are:

  • Binance
  • Coinbase
  • Kraken
  • Bitstamp
  • OKX
  • Bybit
  • KuCoin
  • Bithumb

Check live price and volume on CoinMarketCap or CoinGecko before you trade. One practical note specific to XRP: many exchanges and wallets require a destination tag when you send it. Leaving the tag off is one of the most common ways people lose XRP in transfers, and it is often unrecoverable.

Risks to consider

  • The utility gap. Ripple can grow as a company without XRP demand growing. The two are less linked than most coverage suggests.
  • Supply overhang. Roughly 37 billion XRP has yet to enter circulation, and escrow releases are ongoing.
  • Two failed runs at the same ceiling. XRP approached the same price zone in 2018 and 2025 and could not hold it. That is a real technical pattern, not a detail.
  • Competition. Stablecoins, bank consortium networks, and upgraded traditional rails all target the same cross border problem.
  • Cycle dependence. If crypto enters a long winter, XRP has historically fallen with it regardless of adoption news.

Is XRP a good investment right now?

XRP sits in an unusual position. It has a real company, a working product, live institutional customers, and its main legal threat is gone. That puts it ahead of the vast majority of altcoins on fundamentals.

The catch is that its price has not tracked those fundamentals closely. XRP has moved on crypto cycles, and it has twice run to roughly the same level and failed to hold it. Buying XRP is a bet that payment adoption eventually shows up in token demand, plus a bet on crypto broadly.

Size it accordingly. Crypto exposure generally belongs to a small share of a diversified portfolio, with a horizon long enough to sit through drawdowns like the 63% one XRP is in now. This is not investment advice. Speak with a licensed financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

How this prediction was built

Current price, market cap, supply, and all time high figures come from CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko, Coinbase, and Kraken as of 2 September 2026. Where sources disagree, as they do on the all time high, both figures are stated rather than one picked silently. Scenario ranges are built from XRP’s current price and supply, its behavior across the 2018 and 2025 cycles, and the market cap each price level would require, which is a sanity check most price predictions skip. Long dated figures from 2035 onward are illustrative. No method can reliably forecast a crypto price more than a year or two out. This page is updated as new price action and developments come in.

XRP price prediction FAQs

What is XRP trading at today?

XRP trades near $1.33 as of 2 September 2026, with a market cap around $84 billion. That makes it the fifth largest cryptocurrency. It sits roughly 63% below its record high.

What is XRP’s all time high?

Sources disagree. CoinGecko and Kraken list $3.65, set on 17 July 2025. Coinbase, CoinMarketCap and Yahoo Finance list $3.84, set on 4 January 2018. The gap comes from which exchanges each tracker averages. Either way, XRP’s 2025 run came close to its 2018 peak without clearly passing it.

What is the XRP price prediction for 2026?

Our base case for the rest of 2026 is near $1.60, with a bullish case near $2.40 if ETF flows and payment volume keep building. A bearish case near $0.90 would reflect a broader crypto pullback.

Will XRP reach $10?

Not soon. At $10, XRP would need a market cap near $630 billion at current circulating supply, which is more than Ethereum is worth today. Our model reaches $10 only in the bullish case around 2035, and even then it assumes major payment adoption.

Will XRP reach $100?

No, not in any realistic scenario. At $100 per token, XRP’s market cap would sit above $6 trillion at current supply, larger than all cryptocurrencies combined today. Our model does not project $100 at any point through 2050.

Will XRP reach $500 or $1,000?

No. These targets circulate widely but do not survive basic math. At $500, XRP’s market cap would exceed $31 trillion, which is more than the total value of all publicly traded US companies. The supply is simply too large for those numbers to work.

Where could XRP be in 2030?

Our base case for 2030 is around $3.80, which would put XRP roughly back at its old record. A bullish case reaches $7.00. A bearish case near $1.60 assumes payment adoption stays slow.

Is XRP a good investment?

XRP has something most altcoins do not, a real business behind it in Ripple and a working payments product. It is also down about 63% from its high and its price has historically tracked crypto cycles more than payment volume. Treat it as a bet on payment adoption spreading, sized to your own risk tolerance.

Is the Ripple SEC case over?

Yes. The lawsuit the SEC filed against Ripple in December 2020 concluded in 2025. A 2023 ruling had already found that XRP sold on public exchanges did not amount to a securities offering, and exchanges relisted the token after that. The regulatory overhang that shaped XRP’s price for years is now largely resolved.

Is XRP the next Bitcoin?

No, and the comparison does not really work. Bitcoin is designed as scarce digital money with a 21 million cap. XRP has 100 billion tokens and is built for fast settlement. They solve different problems. For XRP to match Bitcoin’s current market cap, it would need to trade near $37.

Is XRP a stablecoin?

No. Stablecoins are pegged to a currency like the US dollar and are designed not to move. XRP floats freely and is volatile, like most cryptocurrencies. Ripple does separately issue a stablecoin, which is a different product from XRP itself.
